Top Family Cars

Beginning with the incredible drive home from the hospital, your car has a huge role in your family’s life. We talked with parenting websites to help you find a car as safe and secure as you deserve. Ride on!

Volkswagen Atlas
The Volkswagen Atlas offers plenty of legroom in the third row and is simple to maneuver. Putting car seats in is easy since the lower anchors in the LATCH system are some of the simplest to access. You can check  if your doors are locked  and see where your car is parked with Atlas’s Car-Net app.

Chevrolet Traverse
Fresh from a redesign, the Chevrolet Traverse is more fuel efficient and comfy, plus driver friendly. Passengers in the second and third rows get more inches of legroom, and the cargo area is considerably expanded. Plenty of room for strollers, band and sports equipment, and extra little ones to take home.

All models have added tether anchors on the passenger and driver sides in the third row, making car seats simpler to install. There are also USB charging stations!

Ford Edge
While the new colors like blue metallic are worth drooling over, it’s the Ford Edge’s back row, which is big enough  for you to put in three car seats, that warrants a high-five. The cargo area is also bigger than that of most other vehicles in this category, and when you press the button to fold down the backseats, they lie flat enough for you  to do some real bulky- item shopping (Costco and Sam’s Club) and have enough room to haul it home.

Adding the Safe and Smart Package gets you highlights like sensors that assist getting you in and out of tight parking spots and a signal when you put on your turn signal and a vehicle is in your blind spot.
